Philips 9003 X Treme Power Headlight |
Philips 9003 X Treme Power Headlight
put a set of these in my girlfriend’s 2003 ford focus after attempting out such a lot of piaa blue bulbs (which got good reviews but didn’t actually put out much more light than her stock bulbs), these philips bulbs are the real deal no gimmicky color just tons of useful light it’s at least double the light output of the stock focus bulbs and regarding 50% more than the piaa bulbs that I had previously put in. over all these are unquestionably worth it the length of light has doubled over stock and there is a ton more side coverage as well.
I own 2005 Mazda MPV, while it’s been gently used, I observe the headlight bulbs have become dimmer so I got these philips bulbs instead. They draw 67 watts, more glorious and not the phony hid blue-ish (which will be harder to see for the duration of rainy days), these are somewhat whiter. I as well equated with other newer cars, my car now has the more magnificent headlights. I will unquestionably search for these bulbs for my fogs and I will be ordering them soon. $10 Mfr. rebate is an icing on the cake!
I was very pleased with this productions I bought them to replace nighthawk bulbs that only lasted a year and was surprised by their brightness. They do what they say. The light is whiter than traditionalisti bulbs, but only slightly. They do seem to be more brilliant and provide splendid side road lighting as well. I have had disturb with short headlight lifespan, having had silverstar bulbs for 2009 and nighthawk bulbs for 2010, each durable only a year. I think they are all bright, but hope this will lasted longer than the others. I have to say that these do seem to provide better side illumination than the silverstar or nighthawk. I am not sure whether or not this is even possible, but it does seem that way to me.
Pros:
* vivid light output for halogens
* wider than intermediate beam pattern
* excellent build quality (made in Germany)
* littler size bulbs makes installation easier
Cons:
* shorter lifetime equated to regular bulbs (150hr)
first thing i do when buying new cars is changing their bulbs. cars, peculiarly economy ones like civics and corollas, are equipped with long life low output lights. only bulbs i don’t adjust are for my HID equipped luxury vehicle. as for halogens, I have tried a heap of bulbs and i have learned 3 necessary lessons:
1. Do not purchase those blue tinted bulbs that run on dangerously high voltage
2. performance bulbs die quickly
3. Philips x-treme are the best darn halogens out there
No matter which halogen bulbs you buy, if they lay claim more luminance luminance sylvania silverstra ultra, osram nightbreaker, philips x-treme) they will not last you long. This because the filament burns at higher temperatures to improve brightness. Even still, the Philips x-tremes lasted importantly longer than the sylvania silverstar ultras. Philips x-treme lasted for when it comes to 1.5 years or roughly 150-200 hours equated to sylvania’s 15 hours! They are as well more glorious than the sylvanias but not as whiten as well compared to other bulbs, philips x-treme powers are actually well built with water immune quartz glass and littler than normal bulb size which makes them requiring little effort to install. Overall i commend this bulb due to its higher than average light output and wider beam pattern. Only disfavor is scaled down bulb life time. Note that there are now newer Philips x-treme resourcefulness resourcefulness which are more or fewer (10%) brighter.
These halogens are extremely vivid and provide a very nice white light which is very effective in bad weather, this is not a blue tinted bulb which hinders performance in bad weather but a 100% clear bulb with a reflective tip. Various companies offer far more highpriced bulbs that don’t carry out half as good as this one. This is by far the best and brightest H4 halogen money may buy, and with it’s low price you just can’t beat it with a stick. Trust me, you may do the exploration yourself.
These bulbs have exceeded my expectations. Formerly, I was using a set of costly “high performance” Osram bulbs that were held out as the cat’s meow in automotive lighting by a certain web forum that portrays itself as the source of expert advice on the subject. Those bulbs did provide good lighting, but they lasted less than two years! That is entirely unacceptable to me, as one who grew up with sealed beam headlamps that cost $5 and often lasted ten years. Fast forward to these Philips X-treme bulbs that substituted the Osrams. The brightness is even better. They in truth light up the road. They are fairly priced. I hope the longevity will be good – time will tell. So far, I’m very satisfied with them.
I’ve been using these since 2008, possibly earlier and I’ve had 4 sets for the dissimilar vehicles i had. so far i’ve only lost 2 bulbs since on dissimilar vehicles. They are by far the brightest available in the popular wattage.
You wont have to worry when it comes to wires catching fire or melting with these since they are frequent wattage. They are whiter than the usual halogens. pricier? perchance but i get what i remunerated for. All you have to do is replace the old burned out bulbs with these and you are done. more brilliant and better.
I did try the Osram nightbreakers but they didnt last as long as these. not even a year.
One last thing to keep in mind that since these are High output Headlamps, their life is not as long as the popular ones. if you get more than 2 yrs out of them like i did, then its beautiful fantastic.
For persons still thinking in regards to getting this, need to order – i got this for my brand new 2010 toyota highlander, i am constantly utilized to HIDs..the stock bulbs are a joke- i put in a ebay HID kit,..was not happy since these headlights dont have projectors. I ordered these after reading regarding them on forums…this has increased car light output to almost 50+ %…A+
I ordered these 9003′s (H4′s) not expecting the world considering I had tried Silverstars and another off brand from Ebay with little results. These bulbs are for a 1994 Honda Civic. They are slightly brighter than stock, but not one thing for me to get excited over. For the price, they are worth it though. You can tell as soon as you open them from the box that they are a more “heavy duty” bulbs. They just look neat. Perhaps these would work better in something newer than my old 1994!
